Review potential accessibility issues in your PDF
Review PDF structure, tags, contrast, and other standards-informed accessibility checks. Built to support remediation planning, not certification or legal advice.
Beta v1. Results and presentation may evolve. Manual review is still recommended before accessibility or compliance decisions.
Why accessibility matters now
Accessibility expectations continue to expand across major markets:
- •United States: Public trackers report continued ADA Title III digital accessibility activity, with PDFs appearing in complaints (UsableNet / Seyfarth Shaw public trackers)
- •European Union: The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 28, 2025, encouraging ongoing accessibility practices for banking, e-commerce, e-books, transportation, and digital media (European Accessibility Act, 2025)
- •Canada: AODA sets accessibility requirements for many organizations in Ontario (AODA)
- •Mexico: The Ley General para la Inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad supports accessible information rights in public-sector and related contexts (LGIPD)
Accessible PDF practices help more people reach your content, including the 1.3 billion people worldwide with disabilities (WHO, 2023). Screening can highlight technical barriers for follow-up review.

Why Access Lens AI is different

We use automated PDF structure analysis, standards-informed review, and AI-assisted report generation informed by PDF/UA-1 (ISO 14289-1) and Matterhorn Protocol checkpoints (PDF Association / Matterhorn Protocol) to explain why each flagged item matters.

We screen for common PDF accessibility patterns using automated PDF structure analysis, standards-based review, and AI-assisted report generation. The report covers WCAG 2.2, PDF/UA, Matterhorn Protocol checkpoints (PDF Association / Matterhorn Protocol), headings, tags, images, forms, links, tables, reading order, and color contrast, then separates confirmed findings from items that need manual verification.
Acrobat Pro's built-in accessibility checker focuses on tag inspection and technical checks. Access Lens AI provides a structured screening report with plain-language context, page-level evidence, and remediation guidance. Different tools can surface different results, so findings may differ from Acrobat, PAC, CommonLook, standards validators, screen readers, or a professional manual accessibility review.
No. Access Lens AI provides automated accessibility screening only. It is not legal advice, a compliance certification, or a substitute for a professional manual accessibility review. Results may include false positives and false negatives, and manual verification remains important before legal, procurement, or compliance decisions.
Yes. Access Lens AI is in beta and under active improvement. Reports, scoring, and screening workflows may evolve as the platform improves. Human verification is still recommended before remediation, procurement, compliance, or legal decisions.
Your uploaded PDF is stored temporarily in encrypted storage and automatically deleted shortly after processing or after temporary operational retention needs are complete. Original uploaded PDFs are not retained long-term. Accessibility screening reports and limited screening metadata may remain associated with your account history unless deleted by request. We do not use uploaded PDFs to train AI models. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@accesslensai.com.
Yes. Uploaded PDFs are stored temporarily in encrypted storage, automatically deleted shortly after processing or after temporary operational retention needs are complete, and not used to train AI models. Generated reports are retained separately from uploaded originals. Enterprise Workflows options are available, including configurable retention policies, optional rapid deletion workflows, procurement/security review support, and enterprise invoicing.
Both can happen. Manual testing is needed for barriers automation cannot reliably surface, including semantic quality, reading-order edge cases, and screen reader compatibility. Verify flagged findings before remediation or legal/procurement claims.
Certain malformed, image-based, corrupted, or structurally inconsistent PDFs may not support complete automated accessibility validation. In those cases, results may be partial, limited, or unavailable. If automated validation cannot complete due to unsupported or structurally inconsistent PDF architecture, Access Lens AI may provide one limited Retry Validation opportunity instead of issuing an automatic refund.
We do not offer refunds for completed screenings. When you initiate a screening, we immediately incur processing costs for AI-assisted report generation, PDF analysis, and standards validation that cannot be recovered. By proceeding to payment you acknowledge and accept this no-refund policy for completed screenings. If automated validation cannot complete due to unsupported or structurally inconsistent PDF architecture, Access Lens AI may provide a limited Retry Validation opportunity rather than an automatic refund. Duplicate charges due to a payment processing error will be reviewed and corrected. Pro Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account settings; you retain access through the end of the billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial months unless required by law.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe. Stripe handles payment processing; we never see or store your card number. Enterprise Workflows is contact-based only; contact hello@accesslensai.com to discuss invoice or bank-transfer options.
